Mini MiWiFi USB router

Many times, at work, I can't have access to WiFi. The school where I teach is very large and the concern with the signal is not very. This mini WiFi router allows for connection in anywhere there is a computer with internet access and a USB port.

Very small and portable. Easy to put in your wallet or house keys. Within the Cape have a USB port. The idea is to plug in the computer and start and share the internet via WiFi.

Comes with a manual, but unfortunately it is all in Chinese. The site miwifi.com indicated by the manual is all in Chinese. A shame that they don't think of the rest of the world!

To put the MiWiFi in a USB both Windows 8 how much XP couldn't find a driver. You must download an application and install it on your computer to begin working. The application can be downloaded in the download area of the site MiWiFi. But how hard it is to access a Chinese site, Here I leave a link also 4Shared for the version that worked for me, that seems to be a newer version than the one available in the original site.

Once downloaded and installed the application, This box will appear in the bottom right corner of windows next to a blue icon. Everything in Chinese, logically.

To configure the WiFi just click in the upper-right corner of the blue box, on top of the characters 设置 (that means Setup in English) near the X to close.

By clicking setup you must configure your network name (in my case it's AdrianoWiFi) and the password (12345678). Change this password to another harder to find or enable the checkbox below to automatically generate a more complex password.

The mini router work, albeit a little weird. On my Windows 8 It took about three or four attempts until the cell phone have internet, and Windows XP it worked first. The network is configured for WPA2 and doesn't seem to have any other setting besides the SSID and password. The signal is weak and does not function if the device is more than 3 or 4 metres from the mini router. But that's to be expected.

The thing I liked was the fact that ends up being necessary to have the admin password of the machine you want to install the MiWiFi. You must run an executable for the hardware works, and not every windows user has this permission. This limits the usefulness of the device too. Even so, is a great idea. I leave the link to the TinyDeal, where you bought the product and links to other routers that can be interesting for the reader.
